Eric Bouendeu has over 10 years of expertise in the areas of Business Intelligence, predictive analytics and Data management, after a brief trip in the pharmaceutical industry (i.e. biostatistical analysis at Sanofi Aventis Deutschland GmbH), where he developed data mining models for product affinity purposes. Mr. Bouendeu has consulted for financial institutions (i.e. Santander, VR Leasing, Commerzbank AG) in quality assurance and in various other fields of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). He also brings unique expertise in Cyber Security Analytics having worked for Deutsche Bank on a project that utilized Big Data Technologies and Machine learning to enhance IT Security. Mr. Bouendeu is Co-Founder of SMART Data Analytics and holds a Masters degree in Data Science from the Dortmund University of Technology (Germany).
Dr. Lavri Labi has over 10 years of expertise in risk modelling, machine learning, and data management. He developed credit risk models for various institutions in the financial industry e.g. the Sparkassen Rating und Risikosysteme GmbH, and Pension-Sicherungs-Verein AG. Before joining SMART Data Analytics, Dr. Labi advised KPMG Global in Data Management and Machine Learning for Auditing and developed innovative Credit Risk Instruments for Awamo GmbH. Dr Labi holds a PhD in Statistics and Econometrics from the University of Rostock. His dissertation assessed modelling idiosyncratic and systematic risk of debt securities issuers in Germany. He holds a Masters degree in Data Science from the Dortmund University of Technology, and a Masters of Economics from the University of Abidjan.
Dr. Arsene Ntiwa holds a PhD in Statistics (Dortmund University of Technology - Germany), an MSc. in Data Science with a major in Econometrics (Dortmund University of Technology), and a B.Sc. in Mathematics with majors in Informatics and Physics (University of Dschang - Cameroon). He has profound experience and expertise in the areas of applied Mathematics and Statistics, Econometrics, Business Intelligence and Data Science. He has successfully lead Business units as a consultant (Deutsche Lufthansa AG, 1&1 Internet SE), and has spearheaded the building of Data Science units from the ground up; including developing the framework for applying Data Science (Machine learning/Data mining), implementing critical use cases as well as packaging and reporting complex statistical findings at all company levels including C-levels. His doctoral thesis addressed the development of a robust statistical algorithm to predict and classify (in real time) structural breaks in time series.
Dr. Emily Ngubia Kessé has over 11 years of expertise in the research, science management, and innovation-technology industry. She has co-founded two successful organizations, one of which was incorporated by the National Commission for Science, Technology, and Innovation (NACOSTI) of Kenya. She has conceptualized and managed numerous inter/national projects that have shaped the entrepreneurial culture in Africa's 'Silicon Savanna', including the Global Impact Challenge that saw over 80 innovations submitted. Before joining SMART Data Analytics, Dr. Kessé held an interim Professorship at the Humboldt University Berlin (Zentrum für transdisziplinäre Geschlechterstudien). She is a Graduate of Singularity University (NASA Aimes Research Center, Silicon Valley) and holds a PhD in Medical sciences from the Charité - University School of Medicine, Humboldt University Berlin. Her thesis examined the under-representation of women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics subjects based on her Masters in Cognitive Neuroscience from the International School for Advanced Studies (SISSA/ISAS), Trieste. Dr. Kessé holds a BSc in Physics (University of Nairobi).
